Krogan96 is a player known for being against the Friends Chat update. He is strongly against this chat channel and feels that it has reduced interaction between all the players in RuneScape. He is also known to give about 10k to any player who talks publicly. One can usually find him in F2P worlds.

Krogan96 started playing RuneScape sometime in 2007, but stopped for sometime between 2008 and 2011. During this time, many updates had taken place in RuneScape. When Krogan returned in November 2011, he was surprised to see that RuneScape had become very quiet. Whoever he talked to publicly would not respond in the same way. He was shocked to see players not speaking to each other in Grand Exchange. He called the Friends Chat channel update "The Silencer".
