After requesting bot status for an account, it could take a couple days for Wikia staff to answer an admin's request. This is often inconvenient; it would be quicker and easier if bureaucrats or select users be given the ability to give an account bot status. We have our own bot policy, and I'm sure that we can trust users to make the right decisions when deciding whether or not to give a user this status.
